Wincor World 2014 – New signature solutions from signotec

The technology partner for from Wincor Nixdorf for electronic signatures is showing integrated hard- and software for trade and financial services.

Ratingen, January 2014: The signotec GmbH is presenting signature solutions for trade, Volksbanken and Sparkassen on the upcoming Wincor World 2014, from January 21st – 23rd in Hall 5 in the A2 Forum, Rheda-Wiedenbrück. Some of the highlights are software solutions for mobile signing, the approved pen-pads Sigma and Omega as well as the A4-Signature-Pad Alpha, which offers simultaneous signing of PDF- and original document and therefore meets the requirements of the written form.

For many years, signotec is an exclusive technology partner of Wincor Nixdorf for electronic signature solutions with signature-pads or a mobile end device. Together, signotec signature-pads and software form a process-optimized, legally compliant and perfectly harmonised solution for the signing of PDF-documents. With the integrated systems for capturing handwritten signatures, banks and trading corporations are able to optimize their processes in their branch business and thereby improve the customer service.

For representatives of the Sparkasse, especially the signing of PDF´s in Adobe LiveCycle- and OSPlus-context is interesting. For this, signotec developed its software “signoSign for Acrobat Reader”. Due to the use of signature-pads in the POS, trading corporations are able to clearly speed up previously paper-based business-processes like credit card payments, EC-debits but also delivery receipts and a lot more.

The software- as well as the hardware products are a developed in-house by signotec themselves and made in Germany. The signature-pads Sigma, Omega and Alpha are made for stationary and mobile use. They separate themselves from the competitors through their ergonomic design and technical details. New developments, like the on the Wincor World presented large scaled pen-pad “Alpha” is particularly needed if you want to display complex documents which you have to sign. Normal pen-pads are to small for that. Due to a new procedure from signotec, even the requirement of the written form, which e.g. applies to loan agreements, can be fulfilled with the device: The signee places the original document on the pad and then signs paper and PDF at the same time via electronic press copy.

With a sampling rate of 500 samples per second and a capturing of 1.024 pressure levels, direction-, time- and pressure coordinates are going to be digitized and registered in an unbeatable rate by the signotec signature-pads. The resulting high quality of the data automatically leads to the highest possible probative force of the signature. The data transfer from pad to PC is encrypted; due to that, spying at the biometric characteristics is not possible. Particularly notable are the RSA-security features and the internal signature creation device in the pads, which allow the signing of PDF-documents or the displayed LCD-content in the pad.

Substructure for the software of signotec products for Desktop-Signing like “signoSign/2”, are browser-based systems like “signoSign/Web” or “signoSign/mobile”, a solution especially for the use on mobile devices like iPad or other smartphones or rather tablets. The newest version of “signoSign/2” and “signoSign/mobile” are certified by the German “TÜV”. Primarily the demand for mobile signature solutions is big. With “signoSign/mobile”, signotec meets the users requirements, to process business processes on the go, which require a handwritten signature on their mobile device.

Additionally, the outer components of the signotec-Pads can be individually coloured and provided with a customer logo. The signature-pads Omega and Alpha are additionally applicable as advertising medium, because if the pads are not in use, it is possible to show freely configurable slideshows, to show the customer current information or proposals.
