In dental surgeries, numerous documents like medical histories, cost estimates, direct debit authorizations, PVS-invoices, OP-consents and a lot of other verifications have to be signed by patients on a daily basis. These documents are prepared on PC´s, printed and signed, to then be scanned manually again, to be indicated and archived. Comfortable handling for patient and administration
The signotec signature solutions come to diverse use in the daily surgery routine: Some surgeries are setting up own central customer- or patient terminals, others are implementing the pads directly in the treatment room. The in-house generated verification that has to be signed, is going to be filled in advance by the staff on the surgery-PC and prepared for signing. Subsequently it is shown to the patient on a PC monitor. After the patient revised the document, he signs on the signotec signature pad and thereby places his signature digitally and securely in the document. Depending on the signature pad in use, it is possible to display the verification on the screen and in the signature pad.  

Automatic entry in medical forms
When signing not only a picture of the signature is going to be saved, also biometric data like writing speed and applied pressure, which later on can be examined by a handwriting expert just like a traditional handwritten signature. These signature data will be securely encrypted and saved in the electronic (PDF) document, This makes it impossible to spy out the biometric characteristics. The encryption method is providing the highest security available on the market, approved by the German TÜV and patented. After placing the signature, the handwritten signed document is going to be automatically patient-related electronically archived. Via an entry in the medical patient data, the document is retrievable at all times and can be checked for integrity and authenticity at any time. With the pen pads and the corresponding software from signotec, evidential signatures can be captured that are in accordance with signature law and meet the requirements for the electronic signature. Dental surgeries, who are already using Dampsoft, can make use of the mandatory update for 2016 and benefit from the electronic signature and its numerous advantages.
