For many years now, signotec signature solutions are utilised by numerous IGEL users. Using a standard Citrix functionality, the so-called "COM Port Mapping", it is possible to use signature pads from signotec directly on IGEL devices. But a new method speeds up the connection, lowers network traffic and reduces latency many times over.

signotec Virtual Channel Technologie for IGEL End Point solutions

The new method, "Virtual Channel Technology", realises the use of USB-HID pads in Citrix environments. For this purpose, "signotec Virtual Channel Driver" is set up on the ICA Client. With the new „Virtual Channel Technology“, the signature pad can be used in Citrix environments without COM-Port-Mapping. New to this procedure is that it no longer requires a serial device, but also supports the HID-USB and Win-USB pads.
