Ratingen, Germany, 4 February 2011 – Signing electronically can save money and be fun. This is what signotec will be demonstrating to visitors at Hanover’s CeBIT 2011 between 1 and 5 March. Celebrating its tenth anniversary, the leading provider of technology for capturing and processing signatures electronically will be exhibiting at Stand B30 in Hall 3 at this year’s CeBIT event. signotec will showcase its entire range of legally compliant solutions for signing digital documents onscreen. The Sigma and Omega signature pads, developed and manufactured in Germany, will take centre stage together with the outstanding software solution SignoSign.
Today, companies are now able to carry out a multitude of procedures digitally. Moving away from paper helps to eliminate costly discontinuities in media. Processes can be organised much more efficiently, creating considerable potential for cost savings. The cutting-edge solutions developed by signotec GmbH, based in Ratingen, Germany, have already become established in many companies across various sectors. With its hardware and software solutions for electronic onscreen signing, all of which are developed and manufactured in Germany, the pad manufacturer is able to provide customised solutions for banks, insurance companies, industry, public authorities, the logistics and healthcare sectors and also for wholesalers and retailers.
To reflect the diversity of these target groups, signotec has opted for a stand in Hall 3 this year, having previously exhibited in the Banking and Finance hall. “We continue to be the number one choice of course for the finance and insurance sector when it comes to electronic signatures,” says Managing Director Arne Brandes. “But I’m pleased to note that we have also been successful in attracting increased interest from the retail, logistics and healthcare sectors. Interest in our complete solutions has also been growing from the tourism sector. That’s why you’ll be able to find us at Stand B30 in Hall 3 this year with our partner Topaz Systems.”
By keeping the development and manufacture of its hardware and software completely in-house, signotec has been able to set new standards in the industry. All of the sought-after features found in tablets on the market have been incorporated into signotec’s two signature pads. The Sigma and Omega models are regarded as ‘best in class’ and are ideally suited to both desk-bound and mobile use. The tablets have been endorsed by an independent, court-sworn handwriting expert and have been certified by the testing and certification organisation TÜV Saarland. The reliability of signotec signature pads, used in conjunction with SignoSign software, has also been validated. With a sampling rate of 500 Hz and 1,024 pressure stages, the Sigma and Omega solutions enable the direction, duration and pressure coordinates of the signature to be digitised and recorded using unsurpassed frequencies. The resulting high data quality automatically ensures the ability to prove the signature’s authenticity to the highest possible degree. The transfer of data from the pad to the PC is encrypted, so it is not possible to spy on the biometric features of the signature.
Because signotec’s ergonomic signature pads are made in-house in Germany, the company is able to respond flexibly to customer requirements and provide customised modifications. The pad’s exterior can be individually designed to reflect customer preferences and logos can, of course, also be incorporated. The Omega pad can also function as an advertising medium. When the device is not in use, freely configurable slideshows can inform the customer of the latest developments. “The slideshows are stored directly on the pad in a fully independent manner, which means that data transmission channels are not overburdened. Recurring content such as text and graphics is also automatically saved by the pad’s intelligent storage system and can be accessed at any time,” says Arne Brandes, Managing Director of signotec GmbH. “With the two signature pads, the software and our efficient service, we can offer sophisticated, cutting-edge products with the best price-performance ratio on the market. At this year’s CeBIT event in Hanover, we will be showcasing the functionality and individuality of signotec solutions using examples from our practical experience. The combination of powerful hardware and software components for electronic signing has enabled companies from every sector to significantly speed up their business processes.”
This year signotec will share its stand with Topaz Systems. Since its founding ten years ago, signotec has enjoyed an extremely successful working partnership with Topaz Systems. With both companies exhibiting together, visitors to Stand B30 will be able to see the entire range of the very latest pen pads as well as accompanying software from the two leading providers in the world.
