Gebr. Heinemann automated worldwide receipt management via technology of the German expert for electronic signatures.

The Hamburger business enterprise Gebr. Heinemann is running 227 own duty free and travel value as well as brand- and concept shops in 59 airports worldwide. Who wants to pay with credit card in our shops, from now on doesn’t has to sign a cash register receipt anymore, but rather places the signature in a signature-pad from signotec. Due to that, exclusively and only electronic receipts will be created for credit card payment, which will automatically will be deposited in easycash´s electronic receipt-archive. This automation of the receipt management and the avoidance of media breaks allows an instant access to all credit card transactions.

Duty Free Shop Omega Gebr. HeinemannThere are between 8.000 and 12.000 payments via credit card per day in a duty free shop from Gebr. Heinemann. So far, every purchase was receipted with a receipt which had to be signed by the customer. When there is a lack of clarity regarding to a credit card payment, these receipts has to be on hand, quick and central. To pick them out of the 300.000 monthly receipts, costs the corporation a serious effort of time and human resources.

Because of that, the corporation established a signotec solution. The customers signature for credit card- and other ways of payment is now being digitally captured via the sign-pads and can seamlessly be integrated in following paperless processes. The signotec solution is deeply bound to our front office and the POS-solution from Gebr. Heinemann. The corporation is thereby able to widely automate its receipt management and to make it more efficient. Within just a few seconds the credit card turnovers can be reviewed and that way realize a safe cash management.

Poresy, international active POS-service provider and project partner of Gebr. Heinemann, recommended the technology from the signotec GmbH. The Reason: With the signotec signature pad “Omega” signotec provides a house made signature-pad for capturing and processing of handwritten electronic signatures, which was especially developed for the use in bars and customer terminals in the retail market and in the cash point- and counter area. Additionally there is a powerful software existing for the handwritten signing of receipts, called signotec payPOS. It consists of a signature-server, which receives transaction- and signature data via a web service, creates PDF-documents and signs them ISO-conform. Afterwards the documents can be send to an electronic data- or receipt management system.

“Already in other projects, Poresy successfully used signotec-technology, that’s why we trusted our full-service-provider completely when it came to the choice of a signature-provider”, explained Sascha Voelz, head of business application sales IT global, Gebr. Heinemann. Till the end of 2013 the business enterprise wants to also let Lufthansa Miles&More receipts be signed digitally via the signotec-solution, in the German shops this was already possible since June. Therewith the Gebr. Heinemann has converted nearly all paper-receipts about none-cash payments, which once came out of the printer, completely to digital signature.
