The insurance is saving up to five hours per week due to the integration of the electronic software in the offering- and application software EAS
Ratingen, 26th September 2014. The DEVK is heading to new directions in the processing of applications. The Pen-Pads and the signature software for the electronic signature from signotec are playing a central role here. The 1.250 nationwide branch offices of the insurances are all equipped with the signotec Pen-Pads “Sigma”, by now there are 6.000 devices in the typical DEVK-green in action
The reformed insurance contract law provoked a massive amount of paperwork in the processing of applications: Eight million pages per year had to be printed and sent to the regional directions by the full-time field service of the DEVK insurance. To walk new, digital paths in the processing of applications, the insurances introduced a combined hard- and software solution from signotec. This way, proposals don’t have to be printed anymore, but rather signed electronically and linked with the data set in the application software.
Christoph Kempf, division distribution system from the department for sales systems of the DEVK: “one the one side it was the robust and customizable Hardware which convinced us at signotec, as well as the simple user guidance of the signature software. In addition there were the first class customer service and the low costs.”
In a counselling interview, the DEVK-associate still inserts the contract data in the offering- and application software EAS, but is now accessing another printer driver when dealing with the application. Thereupon a PDF is created on the screen, where the applicant can place his evidential-proof signature. Afterwards the PDF is going to be centrally archived and linked with the EAS-dataset. A consistent procedure originated, which is forwarded to the responsible regional directions where its been processed immediately. Every signature is inseparably linked with the particular application document, so an abuse is impossible.
The pads catered significant assistance and time saving for the on-side adjustors, because there is no further need of printing, faxing and scanning. For example, the general agency Brandt in Essen nearly halved its necessity of printing. Big information centres are gaining up to five hours per week due to the use of the electronic signature and automation of previously paper-based procedures. The DEVK wants its indoor service to migrate step by step to an electronic process management, also for processes beyond application editing. Like this, less and less paper is going to be generated. The electronic signature is the therefor-required precondition.
