How signotec supported the elections in Eastern Africa The signotec GmbH is pleased to announce a new client from Eastern Africa: The Government of the United Republic of Tanzania, the new “rising star of Africa”, knows that a high-quality signature capturing is indispensable for issuing passports.

For that reason, especially skilled people in Tanzania are equipped with cases for the elections and for issuing passports. The case contains high-tech components like notebooks, cameras, GPS-receiver, fingerprint scanners, card printers and of course a signature pad from signotec, which shall facilitate processes and make them even safer. The decision taken by the Government for the Sigma pad is due to factors such as robustness, longevity, persistence and the excellent Software Development Kit (SDK). Last but not least: one decisive reason for Sigma was the high quality of its signature image that is very important for the passports.
