The patent describes in how far electronic documents can safely and conclusively be signed thanks to reliable signotec technologies. It is essential to ensure that, after signing a document electronically via a signature pad, changes of the content of the document are impossible. This applies both to people who are involved in the process of electronic signing (for example sales representatives or agents who conclude contracts with customers) as well as to those who try to access the process unlawfully, for instance via harmful viruses or Trojans.
