The financial service provider has on a large established signature pads and the solution SignoSign from the company signotec. The branch manager and customer service representative of Provinzial Rheinland may submit their application documents to their customers so that customers can electronically sign and thus leads to a faster processing of their transactions. The use of signotec’s technology is designed not only to work in that field also in other areas, including the scope of applications / requests in conjunction with the new identity cards.

Each of the more than 1.600 mobile customer representative, consultants and branch managers are equipped with a signature pad by signotec. The sales associates and employees of the 46 bank agencies work within the business area with this solution. The notebooks are also equipped with the signature software SignoSign. Insurance Provinzial has SignoSign connected the system interface through a simple link to its own application Pro.Net. The integrated solution works on mobile laptops to the field staff as well as at stationary positions in offices and in 46 savings banks branches in their business area. In addition, the company also equipped the training rooms with the signature solution. In addition to the originally delivered 2.850 signing pads the supplies ordered an additional 500 signing pads, a total of 3.350 devices.

They decided for signotec because they were satisfied with the price and because it was possible to obtain robust signing pad which proved to be the most practical in daily use. On the other hand, the software fascinated them with the ease of use, flexibility and integration into Pro.Net. It was important to Provinzial, as a company which belongs to a group Sparkassen Finanzgruppe that signotec's solutions are fully certified by the largest group of credit institutions in Europe.

Once the client electronically signed the document the insurance broker during a meeting, presses the "send" button to send the form electronically to the headquarter in Düsseldorf. There the insurance system is printed out by a central print system and it sent immediately to customers of Provinzial and thus it is in less than 24 hours in their mailbox. Not only that the printing of long application forms during the sales process is deleted but also the cost of postage and the cost for scanning are reduced significantly.

"The main reason that we started to deal with the issue of electronic signatures was the amendment to the insurance contracts and related requirements of application / request in the insurance branch," explained Mr. Thomas Winkler from the board of Provinzial association leaders. The implementation of the SG & A requirements had significantly increased printing costs, since the introduction of electronic signatures in the process of filing forms they have promised themselves a solution to the problem.

The solution will not be used only on the field but in future also in other areas it will be used as link in Office applications for example, or in the quoting process - an idea that will be realized soon.

"In principle, the signotec’s solution can be integrated anywhere where a signature is required," said Holger Kunschke. For example, in the project of the Provinzial on a new identity card: The insurance is currently participating in the user test for the new identity cards, which is coordinated by the German Ministry of the Interior. At CeBIT, the Provinzial in the form of simulations showed the combined use of pen-pads from signotec in conjunction with the new ID card in the process of application / request.
