"The secure digital signature in my bank"   

At this year's Raiffeisen Bank Technical Conference in Austria (23-24 July), signotec solutions presented their latest technologies surrounding the topic of Recording and Processing the Electronic Signature using a pen-pad. signotec solutions (the Austrian subsidiary of the signotec GmbH, Germany) was this year's sponsor of the function, organized by Wincor Nixdorf and Fujitsu Technology Solutions. Here, the newly developed "Omega" LCD signature pad, with its colour display, proved to be a special head-turning attraction.

Participants from all the Austrian federal states and various Raiffeisen organizations arrived in Klagenfurt for the conference. Apart from discussions around Digital Signatures in the Banking Landscape, particularly, the “Omega” signature pad, with its colour LCD display, received a huge amount of attention. This self-developed sign pad has made a name for itself through its technical characteristics and its attractive design.

Joerg Prinzhorn, managing director of signotec solutions GmbH, showed the auditorium an impressive presentation about how much processes can be reduced and made more secure by introducing electronic signatures. The participants were able to put the digital signature pad to the acid test on site and discuss its chances with an expert on the occasion of his presentation, entitled "My Bank – My Signature. The Secure Digital Signature in my Bank”.

The potential for optimization within the banks’ processes was clearly in the centre of all the queries and discussions. “We were able to convince many participants of the huge benefit the introduction of the digital signature by means of the PenPad would have in the banking sector”, Joerg Prinzhorn summarized.

At the end of June, the "Raiffeisen Bank Technical Conference“ once again took place.  It attracted around 30 IT and ORG specialists from Raiffeisen organizations to Klagenfurt from all over Austria and once again proved that there is definitely no shortage of ideas for creating the future. This particular and traditional function has taken place for 20 years and, besides highly topical themes, it mainly offers one thing: a forum for exchanging ideas and discussing trends, etc. For 2 days, Raiffeisen, Wincor, Nixdorf, and Fujitsu talked about opportunities in how to deal even more effectively in the banking sector and which investments may eventually secure and further long-term success in this particular branch.
